About
More than a dance studio.A community.
Dance Flow is a Bollywood fusion academy in the GTA built on one belief: that anyone can dance, and that the room you learn in matters as much as the choreography.
Our story
Where this came from
Most people who walk into a first class have wanted to dance for years and have talked themselves out of it just as long. They have watched the films, learned bits in their kitchen, danced properly once at a wedding. What stops them is never the dancing — it is the idea of being the worst person in a room full of strangers.
Dance Flow was built to remove that. Classes run weekly so progress comes from turning up rather than from talent, choreography is taught in layers so there is always a version that works at your level, and nobody is auditioned into anything. Bollywood, Bhangra, Hip Hop, Fusion and a Kids & Teens programme, taught in Brampton and across the Greater Toronto Area.
The fusion work is where it all meets. Bollywood's vocabulary against hip hop grooves and folk footwork is the thing this academy does that you will not find taught the same way anywhere else nearby.
How we teach
Three things we do not compromise on
Beginners are the point
Not tolerated, not put in a separate room — the reason the academy exists. If a class only works for people who can already dance, it is not being taught well enough.
Technique, then expression
The steps are the easy half. What makes Bollywood and fusion worth learning is what you do with your face, your hands and your weight once the feet are handled.
The room matters
How a class feels decides whether you come back, and coming back is the only thing that actually makes you better. That is a teaching decision, not a nice-to-have.
Who runs it
Urvashi Parekh
Dance Flow is owned and taught by Urvashi Parekh. She built the academy around the students it serves — beginners, kids, and people coming back to dance after years away — and she still teaches the classes herself.
